Workers Memorial Day Service was held in Sunderland Minster, 6:00pm, Sunday 26th April. It was a Concert with Readings attended by Councillor Mary Smith, Mayor of Sunderland. Reverend Stephen Hazlett led the service and cracked a few jokes about being a Chairman of the Unite the Union Community Branch 656. "It is a surprise for many that the clergy can belong to a Union but assured us that there are no strikes or industrial go slows planned" The band for the event was
