Westoe Band performed the first of their concerts at the South Shields Ampitheatre on Sunday 20th June 2010. The band was blessed with fine weather for it's afternoon concert, and produced a fine selection of brass band music for the large audience at the sea front venue.

The band played the march 'The Contester', and the horn section played the trio 'Hat Trick'. The bands resident composer Lee Morris produced a number of arrangements including his suite of traditional melodies. Principal Cornet Tom Cook performed the solo melody 'Feeling Good'. Steve Kyle played the Euphonium solo 'Michaelangelo', and Stephen Goddard played 'Share My Yoke' on the Flugel Horn. Matthew Hunt played the Xylophone solo 'Helter Skelter' and the band finished the concert with the theme from 'The Muppets'
